Abstract

This paper seeks to analyze the urban mobility application Onde Tem Tiroteio - Rio de Janeiro (OTT-RJ). The application presents itself as a "social catalog of violence" that sends alerts about the points where there is urban violence in real time from alerts sent by users in order for the population to avoid such locations. Thus, based on a primarily qualitative analysis, the intention is to look at the application as a control and surveillance device that produces subjectivity about crime and the territory that modulates urban space and affects the production of the city.
