Abstract

This article aims to present a review of studies on military songs carried out in the year 2018 by students of the “Postgraduate Specialization Course lato sensu Police and Public Security” concomitant to the training course coordinated by the Command of the Military Police Academy of Goiás that happened in several municipalities of the State. The research focused on unofficial songs, that is, those that are improvised or are not regulated in the corporation's manuals or institutional rules, but that are nevertheless sung in professional training courses during training, whether on the march or on the run. The revised studies show that songs are tools used daily in training and specialization courses for military police officers for the socialization of novices who join corporations, and according to the perceptions of the military, produce positive effects on the performance of physical activities.
