Abstract

This research aims to know the police victimization in the Military Police of Mato Grosso (PMMT) during the period off. The research problem is: what is the interference of the training offered in the PMMT training courses in the training of the military to act in situations during their time off when they appear as victims of crime and violence? The hypothesis raised is that the lack of preparation in the training represents a possible cause for the victimization of the police during off hours, but it may not be predominant due to other risk factors. The research has a quantitative-qualitative approach, through the hypothetical-deductive method. Data were collected through bibliographic research and the application of an online questionnaire. The results point to the confirmation of the hypothesis and indications that the current training methodology offered by the institution needs to be rethought.
